Will my smile be better with dental bonding?
Dental bonding is an ideal treatment for different dental needs. These include repairing minor chips and damage to teeth, closing gaps and spaces between teeth, lightening stained or discolored teeth, and improving the appearance of misshapen teeth. If you are interested in enhancing the cosmetics of your smile, Dr. Fink may recommend bonding.
What is dental bonding?
Dental bonding is a simple, conservative way to improve the appearance of your smile. During the tooth bonding process, Dr. Fink places a composite resin material that matches your tooth shade and color directly onto the tooth structure. When first applied, the resin is malleable and putty-like. We can shape and sculpt it to fit your tooth and correct flaws in the tooth’s appearance. The resin is then hardened, trimmed, and polished to provide a lasting restoration to your misshapen teeth and your smile. Bonding teeth typically requires just one visit to our welcoming dental office. Because this treatment usually necessitates little to no tooth preparation, you can rest assured that your visit will be comfortable and painless.
Dr. Fink may recommend dental bonding to close gaps and spaces between teeth, improve misshapen teeth, lighten stained or discolored teeth, or restore chipped or cracked teeth. We will use a shade of composite resin that matches the original color of your teeth for a natural-looking effect. If you would prefer, we can use a slightly lighter shade to whiten the color of your teeth.
